This grand bug has a type c3 nameplate with serial Nr 73007 dating it back to 1919. (With that serial number it should belong to James Bond!). There is also an. A report on identifying and dating Vibroplex Bugs by Paul Bock. It was listed on eBay as a Vibroplex Junior with a serial number of 85xxx which dated it to about.

He has been able to reconstruct many of the dates of manufacture of the various models of Vibroplex keys which had been lost in the Vibroplex fire.
